PUFF PASTRY TARTLET WITH BACON, TOMATO AND SANTA TERESA
The protagonist of this recipe: Mild Pecorino Sardo PDO Santa Teresa
Ingredients
4 people- Puff pastry in roll 1 package
- Eggs 12
- Smoked bacon 120 g
- Medium-sized tomatoes 12
- Salt to taste
- Peppe as needed
- Mild Pecorino Sardo PDO Santa Teresa 120 g
Method
To make puff pastry canapés, get a pastry ring (or a glass or a cup) and silicone (or aluminium) moulds.
Roll out the puff pastry, cut 8 disks with the pastry ring and insert them into the silicone moulds.
Dice the Santa Teresa cheese, bacon and tomatoes and set them aside.
Break the eggs into a large bowl, add all the ingredients you have previously diced, mix well and add salt.
Fill the puff pastry moulds with the mixture you have obtained and bake in the oven at 180° for 30 minutes.
As an alternative to the canapé, if you wish, you can make puff pastry fagottini with bacon, tomato and cheese, or use the same ingredients to make a bacon and cheese savoury pie.
